The Ohio Department of Insurance recently issued a bulletin with 5 ways to financially protect yourself.  It says it is for severe spring weather but really it is for any time of the year.

1. Conduct an inventory
2. Purchase flood insurance (flood IS NOT a covered peril found in a homeowner or renters insurance policy)
3. Review personal possessions coverage options
4. Ask about aft the fact expenses
5. Assess your roof repair/replacement deductible (most homeowner insurance policies today have a separate deductible for wind/hail damage)

Please contact our offices to review your homeowners/renters insurance policy.
